Broths for Wellness

Throughout history, humans have simmered meat and fish bones to extract flavor and maintain health. For that reason, traditional broths are at the heart of the Chesapeake Gardens “Flavor for Health” program.

How do we make broth? Simply! We start with bones from organically raised poultry, pasture-raised beef and sustainable seafood. These bones contain minerals and gelatin that are critical for human health. We then add vegetables and herbs, and simmer the mixture for hours. We test our broths often to ensure purity and high levels of minerals and gelatin.

Why is broth so important? Consuming traditional broth is a healthy practice for people of all ages. That includes youngsters with growing bones, adults who are watching their weight, older adults who are concerned about their joints or digestion, and athletes striving for

wellness
fitness and endurance. Broth can promote wellness by:
  • Enhancing digestion.
  • Fortifying the immune system.
  • Strengthening joints, bones and cartilage.
  • Satisfying appetite.
